Forecast and webcams

Before you go

Forecasts often disagree. When Windguru, ALADIN and Windy agree, it is worth going.

Tips for this spot

  • Offshore wind carries you away from land. Do not ride it without a rescue boat.
  • When a storm is coming, get out of the water and land the kite at once. Gusts before a storm are violent and a kite overhead is the highest point around.
  • New spot: ask locals about shallows, currents and where people launch.

What you need to know

Watch out for

  • From Prague, the river flows through a deep valley; the bend past Roztoky sits in a hollow surrounded by hills and cliffs, making the wind poor quality.Facebook group Kiting - spolujízda 2024
  • There are locks along the route.Facebook group Kiting - spolujízda 2024

Parking

  • Car park about 200 m from the spot, free.unguarded · capacity: 5 · OpenStreetMap

Conditions

  • The rideable downwind stretch runs at most from Libčice nad Vltavou to Kralupy, and is better suited for a high-volume wingfoil board than a kite.Facebook group Kiting - spolujízda 2024
