- Best time to kitesurf in Egypt: a month-by-month guideWind, air and water temperature for every month around Hurghada, what to wear on the water, and how Safaga, Marsa Alam and Dahab differ through the year.
- What size kite do I need? Weight, wind, board and levelYour weight in kg divided by the wind in knots, times 2.2, gives a first estimate of your kite size. Your board, level, gusts and foiling then move that number.

- Kitesurfing gear for beginners: what you need and what can waitYou need 6 core items for safe kitesurfing. Rent them during your course and buy your own kite once you ride independently.
- Learn to kitesurf: hours, course steps and IKO levelsMost people need 6-12 hours of kitesurfing lessons, according to IKO. The spot, the wind and the school decide a lot of it.
- Kite safari packing list: what to bring for a week on a yachtMeals, drinks, pumps and snorkelling gear are on board. You bring your kite gear if you ride your own, sun protection, reef shoes and the right documents.

Who writes here
Kiting is my main hobby. I kite on Lake Milada in Czechia, on the Baltic, in Sicily, in Hurghada, on snow and with a buggy on land. I've been on Mohamed's kite safari in the Red Sea several times and I help him find guests for it.
