Tips for this spot
- Offshore wind carries you away from land. Do not ride it without a rescue boat.
- When a storm is coming, get out of the water and land the kite at once. Gusts before a storm are violent and a kite overhead is the highest point around.
- New spot: ask locals about shallows, currents and where people launch.

What you need to know
Watch out for
- The area is poorly maintained and overgrown with vegetation and blackberries in the rigging area.community map
Where to launch
- When returning to the launch, you usually have to depower/drop the kite and swim in via self-rescue, or exit by the club further north and walk back around.community map
- Launch from the public water access alley: lines are laid out in the alley, the kiter swims out and water launches (the last kiter does a drift launch).community map
Getting there
- Alley with public water access; exiting at the club further north requires a detour walk back to the launch.community map
Riders' tips
- Practice swimming drift launches elsewhere beforehand (you only get one shot here) and scout the spot before your session.community map
